Sprouting Lupine - Garden of Shadows

Garden of Shadows is the gothic companion cross stitch pattern to The Unicorn's Garden, another of my large samplers. The pattern is inspired by the Unicorn Tapestries series of the late 15th and early 16th centuries. Garden of Shadows features a gallant black unicorn, a dying tree with fruiting polypores, and a dark rainbow of flowers and mushrooms. A medieval inspired English alphabet (uppercase) is included to customize the initials and the year. The model was stitched 2 over 2 on 32 count "Bog" linen from BeStitchMe using the called for supplies.
