JED x Stitch - Ephemeral Sampler

“Ephemeral Sampler” is a counted cross stitch pattern. This is an original sampler, with a traditional sampler feel. This pattern features and art nouveau inspired alphabet and quote by poet Rabindranath Tagore from a 1928 publication "Fireflies."

The model is stitched on 40 count "persimmon" linen by Fiber on a Whim using 1 strand of floss over 2 linen threads. The model was stitched using 20 DMC cotton flosses. The pattern provides a bright and muted color palette (10 DMC colors each). For my model, I stitched the left half with the bright colors and the right half with the muted colors.

Stitch count is 179w x 140h. Finish size is 9" x 7" for the model on 40 count. (12.8 x 10 inches on 14 count.) Stitch types: + Full crosses: 11356 + Backstitch: No
