Jan Hicks Creates! - Blue Velvet

Blue Velvet is a design for all of the blue lovers out there. It features gorgeous, bold borders alongside design elements that have the feel of old-fashioned wallpapers.

This design uses only four colors of blue variegated cottons, creating a beautiful tapestry that you will love stitching.

The model is stitched on Needle Bling Designs 40 ct Lightening using the called for overdyed cotton floss. Lightening is a very pale grey which allows all of the blues to shine.

Alternative fabrics: For this design, I recommend using light colors and stay away from blue fabrics.
As always, do small test swatches on any fabric you choose to be sure that all colors will show up well on it.
