Soed Idee - Talents Few or Many

This bound book is a reproduction of an antique English sampler that I purchased in Franklin during the 2025 Nashville Needlework Market. The original sampler immediately stood out to me for its beautiful balance and lettering, and especially for its timeless verse, which feels just as meaningful today as it did when it was stitched:

God entrusts to all
Talents few or many
None so young and small
That they have not any

Around this main sampler, I designed several coordinating small projects. These include the Little Talents Sewing Roll, Drawstring Bag, and Pocket. All were created to echo the spirit, motifs, and colors of the original piece. Together they form a cohesive collection that works beautifully both as a larger sampler and as smaller, giftable projects. The Scissor fob will be available as a freebie in the Nashville Cookbook.
