The Blue Flower - Daisy Crown Biscornu

This design was inspired by the idea of a woven crown of daisies. It's a fairly quick stitch, and I've combined many different types of flower designs (because there are so many wonderful varieties of daisies) into an abundance of floral fun. Daisy Crown is a cheerful choice for stitchers looking for biscornu cross stitch patterns with soft floral details and spring-inspired charm.

Stitch count for the top and the base is 122 x 122 each (244 x 122 total, plus an allowance for space between the top and base).  The model is stitched on 40 count "Dove" linen from Weeks Dye Works, with one strand of thread over two strands of linen. This is a lovely blue/green fabric that sets off the white flowers and the closest DMC equivalent is 523/524.

For finishing I found a button at a local fabric store, but it had a rhinestone in the middle which didn't quite go. So I popped out the rhinestone and glued in a little cluster of yellow seed beads instead for the "daisy" effect.
